Kananaskis Country is a series of Provincial Parks within the Canadian Rocky Mountains and is within an hours drive from Calgary.
A hike within Kananaskis offers magnificent views, meadows full of wild flowers, animal sightings, alpine lakes and rugged peaks. It is a favourite spot for locals as it offers spectacular views with fewer crowds. I have hiked within Kananaskis for over 40 years, and I would love to share my knowledge and the history of this amazing area with you. When my wife and I go hiking, Kananaskis is our first choice.
Some destinations offer more of a challenge for experienced hikers, while others are great for beginners. Let me know what you are looking for and I can accommodate your needs.
Explore Banff and Lake Louise - Family Friendly Hiking Adventure
A trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains would not be complete without a hike within Banff National Park.
Banff National Park is Canada's first National Park and is one of the parks within the "Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks" UNESCO World Heritage Site. A hike in the park offers magnificent views, meadows full of spectacular wildflowers, animal sightings, turquoise lakes and rugged peaks.
The Banff and Lake Louise area is in Calgary's backyard. I have explored this area for over 40 years and cannot wait to share some of the hidden gems with you.

Proposed Itinerary*
I will meet you at a convenient location in Calgary or at your hotel/accommodation if in Canmore, Banff or Lake Louise, where we will review and sign the liability waiver and medical form.
After a quick safety briefing and equipment check we will depart for our trip. Please note that distances and driving times will vary.
We will have lunch on the trail.
At the end of the trip, I will return you to where we started.
